Wayback in 2009, Sophia Hanson’s two huge dogs, Blake and Laila, were out in the yard alone. When she came to check them, she noticed that the dogs were gone. The door was not even open, so they were not sure if the dogs were stolen or not.
Hanson and her husband searched everywhere. They asked around their neighborhood if anyone saw their two lost dogs, but there’s still no sign. They were hopeless but didn’t give up.
After a year, they saw a post on Craigslist. Someone was selling a pit bull for 500 dollars, and it looked just like their dog, Blake. The location of the seller was not far from their neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas. So the couple thought of an idea.

The couple pretended to be the buyer. They went there to check if it’s really their dog, Blake. And they were right! Blake was in the biggest chain that they have ever seen. The incident traumatized Blake. But after the rehabilitation process, he became the most adorable teddy bear again.
After witnessing all the things that happened to Blake, the Hansons feared the worst things for their clumsy Laila. Years after years, they still haven’t heard any news about Laila. They continued searching local shelters, hoping to see her again.
Then in 2018, Janice Rackley noticed a very skinny dog alone in the field. It seemed like the dog has been alone for some time because of her condition. She knew she had to do something to help the dog. She felt that, for some reason, the dog was dependent on her. Rackley would drive into the field every single day, bringing water and food. Then she finally earned the dog’s trust.
After six months, days before New Year’s Eve, she decided to rescue the dog. Rackley had the dog scanned by animal control. There she found out who the owner was.
She called the Hansons, and they immediately rushed to see the dog. It’s been eight long years since they last saw Laila. When they arrived at Rackley’s place, Laila laid her eyes on her mom. Everyone was moved by the very emotional reunion of Laila and her loving parents. Now, Laila and Blake are safe and back to their family.
