Meet the basketball and fetch loving doggo who’ll encourage you to be better in shooting buckets in the comfort of your living room.
Cooper is the canine member of Casey Dickinson’s family in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cooper doesn’t only love to play fetch, and he also serves as a motivational coach to Casey and her family whenever they try to shoot a basket. The doggo coach celebrates with a howl when you hit the spot, and groans in disappointment when you miss.
Casey’s video on Twitter is now viral, showing Cooper’s distinct reactions whenever they hit or miss a basket.
Labrador Retrievers are on the second spot right after Border Collies when it comes to playing fetch because of their overflowing energy and their love to spend time with their owners.
But Cooper’s game of fetch is different as it involves the added challenge of shooting accurately before the dog fetches the stuffed animal. What makes it more interesting is the way Cooper reacts after every score and miss.
This basketball doggo consistently gains attention in social media via Casey Dickinson’s Twitter account.
As of writing, his video on Twitter already reached 3.36 million views, 79K retweets, and 313K hearts. Some fans in the Twitter community already started to refer to Cooper as “Air Bud.”
The rest of the Twitter Universe are just as amused with Cooper, and a lot of dog owners and future dog owners wanted to teach their dog the same trick. As for Cooper’s owner Casey Dickinson and her family, they plan to continue playing fetch and shoot with Cooper and enjoy his coaching antics.
The newly famous doggo, on the other hand, thinks that his reactions to the family’s shooting skills render nothing special. He stays as sweet as he is, not minding the newly found fame.
