Dogs are exceptionally resilient and seem to bounce back from their lowest points. Let’s take for example an extremely abused dog. A dog may have gone through a horrible experience, but once rescued and given the love and care they deserve; they would come out as if nothing happened to them.
A dog doesn’t have the ability to hold a grudge. That is why they don’t get bitten, they get better.
Everyone meet Home, a pup with only two and a half legs. She may be missing a limb, but it doesn’t stop her from living life. She can run, play, jump and dig – yes dig, just like any dog. She didn’t let her missing limbs affect her love for life. Hope showed everyone that she still has a lot to give despite her condition.
Watch a video below about Hope and be inspired by her resilience to embrace life even with her condition.
When this video was posted on YouTube, a lot of people had been asking how the happy pup moves around. That’s when her owner decided to create this video and uploaded it on her channel. The video shows it all.
According to experts, dogs aren’t emotionally affected by their physical conditions as much as humans do. Leg amputation is a conventional surgery done to dogs born with congenital disabilities, cancer or have experienced severe trauma such as being run over by a car.
Dogs that have their limbs surgically removed to save their lives, often return to their normal selves only after a few days or week, depending on the type of amputation.
Regardless of a dog’s emotional capacity, I still find it incredible that most dogs don’t allow their past or present condition affect their outlook in life. They can still be lovable, loyal and a faithful companion.
