Finding a rescue dog to adopt is a tough decision to make. Adopting a rescue dog means you’re adopting a dog that most likely had a traumatic past. These dogs tend to be really shy and don’t like to be touched.

If you’ve rescued a shelter dog before, you know that choosing isn’t just about looking for the best looking dog. It has something to do with how you feel. This is how a girl named Amber found her dog, Ariel.

Amber was in a local shelter picking a rescue dog to adopt. For Amber, it was love at first sight. For Amber, Ariel stood out from the rest of the other dogs. Amber was able to relate to Ariel. She found her soulmate. Amber just knew that Ariel is going to be her dog and that Ariel was meant for her.

When Amber took Ariel home, Amber discovered something about her new dog. Ariel was really shy. Ariel hated being touched and would always shy away whenever she was about to be touched by Amber. Growing up, Amber knew how Ariel felt. She was always a shy kid in school. She was awkward talking with other children, and she never really believed in herself to do amazing things.

It took some time for Ariel to warm up to Amber. It all started when Amber took Ariel on daily short walks that soon turned into long hikes. Amber discovered that Ariel loved the outdoors and enjoyed the long walks. Amber also found that she, too, enjoyed doing outdoor activities.

Eventually, the long hikes turned into camping. Ariel especially loved camping with her mom. She gets to sleep inside her mom’s sleeping bag. Whenever Amber takes Ariel on long hikes, she always sees Ariel’s face light up.

Amber never really did hiking when she was younger. She just discovered that it’s an activity that she loves doing. Whenever the hike gets hard, and Amber breaks down, Ariel is always there, encouraging her mom that she can do it. Amber and Ariel gave each other the confidence to do things that they haven’t done before.

Ariel’s happiness, whenever they go outdoors, is contagious, according to Amber. Amber can’t imagine what her life would be like without her beloved dog. Thanks to Ariel, Amber gained the confidence to do new things. Here’s a touching story of how Amber found courage, thanks to Ariel. From our point of view, it seems like Ariel rescued her mom by giving her the confidence she needed to be truly happy.
