Steve-O is a famous television personality due to his antics, pranks, stunts, and other cool things through his Jackass series. But what most people do not know about Steve-O is his slightly soft spot for the animals, especially for dogs.
The TV personality recently announced his advocacy on animal rights. For him, people like him who have enough clout should use their voice in making people aware of animal rights. Steve-O is a firm believer that everyone can contribute to the betterment of the lives of animals. This is the reason why he uses his platform to inform as well as mobilize people.
In his trip to Peru in 2019, Steve-O decided to befriend a stray pooch he met along the way. He even filmed his adventures with the pooch as the two engaged themselves in different activities like mountain climbing. The first thing Steve-O did to get the dog’s trust is to give her food. He dropped by a local grocery to purchase a bag of dog food and gave it to the pooch.
After this, the dog showed her other side and befriended Steve-O in return. From there, the two developed an excellent rapport with each other. Steve-O then asked the pooch if she wants to join him in traversing the mountain. Although the pooch was clueless, the pooch eventually joined.
Since the dog was stray, Steve-O named the pooch Wendy. It was not a difficult task on the part of Steve-O to instruct the pooch what to do because Wendy is an intelligent pooch. After mountain climbing, Steve-O decided to take the pooch for good.
In an interview, Steve-O said that he felt a little bit of separation anxiety to the pooch. This is the reason why he decided to adopt the dog for good because he knows he would be an excellent parent to Wendy.
