Taking care of stray dogs is a big commitment that a person has to consider. These doggos need a lot of attention and care to make them feel at home. What more if that stray dog is also sick? It wouldn’t be an easy job but it can be surely fulfilling to see a doggo feel better.
Theo the Golden Retriever was a senior dog who was abandoned at a Walmart parking lot. Animal control found him and they looked for someone to adopt him. Even though Theo had terminal cancer, when Jenny first saw the doggo’s photo online, she knew that she wanted to rescue him.
When Jenny came to pick Theo up, she saw how weak and old the pooch is. Due to the doggo’s old age and the size of his tumors, his cancer was inoperable. This made Jenny realize that she wanted to do everything that she can to help Theo enjoy the remaining days of his life.
Jenny took Theo to a toy store and let him pick out a toy. The doggo happily picked a blue octopus toy and played with it in the car on their way home. As soon as they came home, Jenny gave him a warm bath since Theo was looking a bit rough.
Soon enough, Jenny realized that Theo had a lot of living left to do. So she started making out a bucket list for Theo to enjoy during his last days. Starting with the blue octopus toy, Jenny had listed a lot of small and big things for the doggo to experience.
Jenny also started sharing online the different adventures she had planned out with the pooch and people loved it! Other people also started suggesting exciting things for Theo to try out and Jenny made sure to make these things happen.
Today, Theo has been having a lot of fun every day with his hooman Jenny and his other furry siblings. At first, the doctors thought that Theo only had a few weeks left to live, but now the pooch is alive and doing well. Jenny says that they will continue to go on adventures while they still can.
